Dell Streak 7 - The First Android powered Tablet with 4G speeds

After the iPad’s release, many of today’s well known technology enterprises have plans to making their own very tablet computer and one such company is Dell.

At first look Dell’s Streak 7 boasts of both functionality and beauty. As said earlier, the Dell Streak 7 is something that people can consider as a mini tablet computer instead of a Smartphone; the first thing you would notice is its size. Sporting only a third-of-an-iPad body (3.2 inches in length, 6 inches in width and 0.35 inch in depth), the Streak is portable and passable.

Its 7-inch size touch screen is covered with glass and has smooth edges (left and right) covered in a scratch-resilient plastic, adding to its elegance. Hidden behind the said edges are three soft buttons for commands “Back”, “Home”, and “Menu”. It also conceals the front-facing VGA resolution camera, in addition to a 5-megapixel LED camera positioned on the phone’s side

The USB connection support helps in transferring files from the phone to another component. It also has internal storage of up to 16GB. This can be found with the SIM card slot which is at the Streak’s back area. At the top edge of the Streak, users can find buttons for volume control, power and camera. There is also a jack for the headphones for those who love listening to their favorite tracks.

Using the Android 2.2 for its operating system, the Dell Streak, as a tablet computer, is incomparable. It's a winner when it comes to speed and features present (especially the apps!). With the 7-inch screen, users are sure to enjoy viewing pictures and taking shots too. Photo uploading is also possible in the Streak with the option to download additional applications which can only be found in the Android App Market. Users are sure to enjoy additional features present in the Streak such as Google Maps and Microsoft Exchange.

The Streak runs on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which keeps up well to the user's commands. Connection to the Internet is quite fast with the Streak. It loads up websites in only a few seconds (matching the iPad's speed). Communicating with loved ones is a blast especially with the call quality (with clear sounds both the incoming and outgoing). Further addition to the Streak's call prowess is its battery life with talk-time lasting up to nine hours. With the Froyo update, the Streak delivers users with a nice QWERTY keyboard with accurate responses.

So Dell Streak 7 delivers performance that lets users communicate with loved ones better and keeps up well with both work tasks and leisure.
